We are living in an era where a person has to face competition at every step of his/her life, be it a teenager, school going, or an adult. The time has come wherein students in 10+2 scores 100 percentile in their board examination, and when it comes to entrance tests for various courses, there are lacs of students who are appearing for one single test. Apart from JeeMains, there are various other state wise colleges and test; it's up to the student which type of college and what examination they have to appear as per their choices. For every entrance test, there is an eligibility criterion while filling the form, where they have set a particular percentage of high school marks.
The first phase of the admission process for any academic session in engineering colleges in India starts by the month of March and April. The admission process for all IITs, NITs, and IIITs is different from other colleges and universities all over the country. There are even multiple entrance tests and scores for various states like, In the state of Maharashtra admissions are based upon the JEEMain as well as the MHT CET. While in a few states the colleges and universities have reserved certain percentage only for JEEMains.On the other hand, few of the states have their own quota of seats for the students of their own state.
Direct admission or Management Quota
There are Private engineering colleges in India, where there is no entrance test, and the student has a chance to take direct admissions. Most of the universities in the country have a management quota while the fees are a bit higher than the normal admission.
For IIT’s JEEMains is required and if the student scores between 1.2lac to 1.5 lac then he gets a call for JEE advance and if it gets cleared one can apply for counselling for college and course. Similarly, if we talk about NITs, more than 60 per cent of seats are for Indian students and for it they require JEEMain score and then they have to attend CSAB Counselling for taking up college and course. States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, etc. have their own entrance test. Colleges like BITS Pilani, VIT, Symbiosis Institute of Technology and many more prestigious colleges have their own entrance test for the admission. You can easily get admissions in the engineering colleges in India by clearing out these exams.
